Real Diablo Magic Find - my observation, quick notes and examples

Playing everyday at high monster power, with good MF gear and still no luck to about? And your mates keep getting tons of good items? Try it the other. Become the team carry yourself for a moment.

I've come to realize this, when playing with my friend, high DPS DH, while I was a monk with mf items. He was getting legendary every 20 minutes and me, nothing. Then In tried the other way - got high damage items and took low mp. And voila!

Real MF depends on your damage output rating, as compared to other party members.

Just try going MP4 farming with some lower level allies, once your DPS is very high (150K +), if you are able smoothly sweep MP7 for instance. The strongest member takes most, especially when it comes to lengedaries.
But it is important, that you don't die very often!

Always do this with party or in public games, otherwise, this damage bonus cannot be triggered, plus you miss the team game bonus (relatively weaker mobs, lower MF). So it is actually profitable to keep weak member in your party, i.e. your friend if you are helping levelling up, and not to try to kick them.

Two ways to farm efficiently in general
1) you kill high amount of elites in a short time at MP 1 - 4 , depending on your gear and level  (best place for that is ACT II - Vault of Assassin + Black Mines, which also has high chance of goblins)

2) you sweep thru enormous amounts of normal mobs at MP 5 - 6 (obviously ACT III - Keep level 2 and 3 + possibly Craters)

Ideal wizard skills for this kind of strategy obviously are Glass Cannon + Archon [Teleport ro Improved].

Excellent video guide explaining magic find scaling, especially when it comes to affixes numbers. Because nephalem valor does not only increase the over MF, but also improves quality of drops (after identified):

All that science aint simple at all. Very good thread explaining principles of probability and how the random generator works in Diablo: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/6193839632  - but sometimes, you can simply really be out of luck for real.
